Licenses & system requirements

dxf-DR in the browser statically links Open CASCADE Technology 7.9.3 (GNU LGPL 2.1 with the Open CASCADE exception) inside the WebAssembly module. The step2dxf conversion engine is closed source; the LGPL obligation here covers the OCCT portion. The WASM bundle is replaceable: the page loader can load any same-origin step2dxf_web.wasm / glue pair you build against a modified OCCT, satisfying the LGPL relinking clause for the library portion.

Corresponding source for OCCT: tag V7_9_3 on Open-Cascade-SAS/OCCT. The WASM build recipe lives in the private step2dxf repository (web/engine-wasm/build.sh), published with the engine WASM release asset.

System requirements

• macOS (desktop app) — macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later. The bundled geometry kernel is built against that SDK.
• Windows (desktop app) — Windows 10 x64 or later when the installer ships.
• Web — a current browser with JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded; conversion runs locally.
